Regular screening plays a vital role in the early detection and prevention of breast and cervical cancer. Creating awareness and improving access to these essential health services empowers women to take charge of their well-being while fostering a culture of preventive healthcare.

With this commitment, SMART Foundation, in collaboration with Rotary and Sri Ramachandra Medical College & Research Institute, organised a Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening Camp for the community of NIEPMD (National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Multiple Disabilities), Ranipet, with a special focus on women housekeeping staff and mothers of children with disabilities. The camp offered mammogram and pap smear screening services, aiming to improve access to preventive healthcare by encouraging timely screening, increasing awareness, and supporting early diagnosis.

By bringing these essential screening services closer to the community, the initiative helped remove barriers to healthcare access, promoted informed health decisions, and reinforced the importance of regular screening as a key step towards improving women's health outcomes. Through this initiative, SMART Foundation recognised the invaluable role played by women—both as caregivers and as members of the workforce—and sought to ensure they received the preventive healthcare and support they deserve.
