As part of its continued commitment to inclusive education, SMART Foundation distributed Teaching and Learning Material (TLM) Kits to children with special needs at Anbu Illam (CSI Diocese of Vellore), a school and rehabilitation centre dedicated to supporting children with developmental disabilities.
In 2023, 78 children received TLM kits, followed by 59 children in 2024, including children with Cerebral Palsy (CP), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Learning Disabilities (LD), Intellectual Disabilities (ID), and Multiple Disabilities (MD).
The support was formally acknowledged by Anbu Illam, which reported that the TLM kits have significantly enhanced learning engagement, classroom participation, and the overall holistic development of the children.
This initiative forms part of SMART Foundation's broader pan-India effort to make quality learning resources accessible to children with diverse learning needs, enabling them to achieve their full potential.
